Privacy policy

ResortMeter ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at resortmeter.com. This page explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it. We aim to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

• Anonymous request logs — your IP address, user agent, and the page or asset requested are logged by our hosting provider (Cloudflare). These are retained briefly for abuse prevention and aggregate analytics.
• Aggregate analytics — we use privacy-respecting analytics that do not set tracking cookies and do not associate visits with individuals across sites.
• Email address (only if you sign up) — if you subscribe to deal alerts, we store your email and your alert preferences (destinations, price thresholds). We do not share email addresses with third parties.
• Affiliate click identifiers — when you click an outbound booking link, the destination site (Booking.com, Trip.com, etc.) may set its own tracking parameters to attribute the booking to ResortMeter for commission purposes. We do not control those cookies; see the destination site's privacy policy.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect names, addresses, phone numbers, or payment information.
• We do not run advertising trackers (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, etc.).
• We do not sell or rent any data to third parties under any circumstances.

Cookies

ResortMeter does not set first-party tracking cookies. The booking sites we link out to do — that's how affiliate commission attribution works, and we have no control over their cookies once you click through.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Email privacy@resortmeter.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
