Mexican Caribbean destinations

The original Mexican Caribbean playground. Dense hotel zone, white-sand beaches, easy direct flights from most of North America, and the highest concentration of all-inclusives in the western hemisphere — which keeps prices honest year-round.

The corridor from Puerto Morelos through Playa del Carmen to Puerto Aventuras — boutique resorts, on-property water parks, cenote access, Mayan ruins, and a slightly higher rate than Cancún for the better variety.

South of Akumal — quieter beaches, dense jungle, easier cenote access, and the strongest run of newer-build AI resorts. Lower density than Cancún, lower rates than Riviera Maya proper, longer transfer from CUN (~90 minutes).
